INkSTAGE Terms of Use

These Terms govern the INkSTAGE desktop app and related services provided by INkSTAGE / incho775, an individual developer (the “Provider”). By installing, using, or purchasing the app, you agree to these Terms. Mandatory law and consumer rights that give you greater protection take precedence over these Terms.

1. Service

INkSTAGE is a desktop writing tool for manuscript writing, project management, document viewing and editing, and optional AI connections. The product page and checkout shown at the time of purchase describe the key features, supported platforms, price, and included deliverables.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be legally capable of entering a contract. Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian where required.
• Paid access may be assigned to the INkSTAGE account linked to the purchase. You must provide accurate information and protect your account and authentication credentials.
• You may be responsible for problems caused by account sharing, authentication bypass, or unauthorized use of another person's account.

3. Software License

The Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use INkSTAGE personally under the conditions displayed on the product page. The license does not transfer ownership of the software. Except where applicable law permits otherwise, you may not copy, resell, sublicense, or bypass protections for the app or access rights.

4. User Content and Local Data

• You retain the rights to manuscripts, documents, and project data that you create or import. The Provider does not claim ownership of your content.
• Projects are normally stored locally in the .inwx file you choose. You are responsible for safeguarding project files, passwords, recovery information, and appropriate backups.
• If you lose both the password and every recovery method, an encrypted project may not be recoverable.

5. AI and Third-Party Services

AI features may use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, local servers, or other third-party services selected by you. Their own terms, privacy policies, charges, and usage limits apply separately. You are responsible for checking the content you send and reviewing output for accuracy, legality, and suitability. See the Privacy Policy for data-processing details.

6. Orders, Payment, and Refunds

• Online orders for INkSTAGE are processed by Paddle.com, our authorized online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, tax calculation, payment-related support, returns, and refunds.
• The Paddle Buyer Termsgovern the purchase transaction, while these Terms govern your use of the INkSTAGE product.
• The paid license currently described is a one-time purchase and does not automatically renew. You can review the final price, taxes, and items before completing checkout.
• Cancellations and refunds follow applicable law and the INkSTAGE Refund Policy.

7. Prohibited Use

You must not:

• violate law or another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• circumvent or manipulate app, account, payment, or license protections;
• distribute malware, disrupt services, or exploit security vulnerabilities; or
• sell, rent, or share a purchased account or license without authorization.

8. Updates and Service Changes

The Provider may update the app for security, compatibility, or feature improvements. Changes to operating systems, webviews, or third-party AI services may affect how some features work or remain supported. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes to core buyer rights or paid access.

9. Ending Use

You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Where permitted by law, the Provider may restrict or terminate access after notice if you materially breach these Terms or create a security or illegal-use risk. Notice may follow the action where immediate security response or a legal obligation requires it. Paid access ends when a purchase is refunded.

10. Warranties and Liability

The Provider operates the app with reasonable care but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation in every environment or continued availability of third-party services. To the extent permitted by law, liability may be limited for indirect loss caused by missing backups, user configuration, or third-party services. Nothing limits liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms when law, payment methods, or service features change. Material changes will be announced on the website or in the app before they apply, and the last-updated date will be revised. Changes will not retroactively and unfairly restrict statutory rights.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protection in your place of residence takes precedence where it gives you greater protection. We will first try to resolve disputes through the contact below; unresolved disputes follow the procedures and jurisdiction required by applicable law.
